LivOn Journey Camp
LivOn Journey Camp is where survivors come together to experience the path of survivorship.
This has been one of the most encouraging experiences I have ever been a part of. I struggled in saying yes to participating in it. However, the experience has had such a positive impact on my life. It has opened my mind and heart to so many possibilities in dealing with life challenges. The team was excellent. The topics and presentations were tremendous.
It was AMAZING! I honestly believe this is needed. There is a huge emotional burden that can come with survivorship and it’s great to have people to have you readjust to life and find your way back to joy. Having peace of mind is needed during every part of this journey.
As a one-time survivor on the path to my second victory this Journey (Camp) has helped me know, not just feel, no matter the outcome, I’m strong, I’m blessed, I’m brave and it’s okay not to take on this fight alone.
Our concerns might be different and the treatments too, but deep down we are all the same, perfectly imperfect and that’s okay. I’m ready to LivOn and live my purpose in life.
It was indeed a great meeting full of information and relief from stress.
LivOn Journey Camp has been a great experience for me. I loved the small intimate setting. I felt at home and there was no judgement. I met some wonderful people who were or had battled the same thing. It was great to be able to get away from life’s hustle and bustle and just relax and connect with myself and others. The crafts were great in helping us understand ourselves. I found out so many things about myself.
The program was well organized and served as a valuable resource.
I would like to say that I’m very thankful to be a part of the LivOn Journey Camp. It was amazing!
I am grateful to have been chosen to be a part of the LivOn Journey Camp. It was something I believe I needed. To be around like-minded cancer survivors with similar but different cancer treatment journeys. No right or wrong, non-judgmental safe place to share experiences and learn about the cancer journey roadmap. JoLanda did an excellent job of coaching us with the various topics of new opportunities, relationship transitions, spiritual shift, personal fame, self-guidance and even the trench. Being mindful of those things in life, EGO, that’s keeping me from living my best life. My overall experience on a scale of 1-10, 10=excellent. This experience is life changing for the better. Thank you
When I got the call to be a part of this LivOn Journey Camp I was excited. I love Father God’s timing on each journey. He has for me, because I know what He brings me to He will bring me through. I love giving and doing for others. I know that with my hands open to give they are also open to receive. And I receive this special gift of LivOn Journey Camp and just thankful and grateful for it. Thanks so much. Blessing to you and yours.
I thought it was very good, it was relaxing and everyone seemed at ease.
Great experience.
This camp was amazing. The first time I was honest about what I was feeling in 2011 when diagnosed with breast cancer. I was finally able to let go and embrace everything that has happened, the good and the bad.
This experience is one that I hope all cancer survivors get the opportunity to attend. It allows you to unpack the bags of hurt and scars that this journey has us on and be okay to share. The environment is safe with no judgment.
Thank you for the experience.
I had a wonderful experience at LivOn Journey Camp. JoLanda is very passionate about what she does. She has created a relaxing environment and developed a creative approach to help you navigate your post-cancer journey. I learned a lot about myself through my fellowship with other participants (campers). I would highly recommend this camp to others. I have thoroughly enjoyed my time with Jolanda and Amanda, as well as my fellow campers. Thanks for the invitation and experience.
Thank you for the beautiful weekend. I enjoyed the session filled with important information and fun activities. I will reflect on all information for the rest of my life. I am more GRATEFUL as a result of the session.
This has been life-changing for me.
This camp was empowering!
I love to interact with pink sisters and talk, laugh, and cry with each other. We walk together. I appreciate the testimony of all the ladies. Sharing encourages!
National Cancer Survivors Day
National Cancer Survivors Day® is more than just a celebration. It’s where we join together to recognize cancer survivors, raise awareness of the ongoing challenges they face because of their disease, acknowledge milestones, and most of all – celebrate living life.
We thoroughly enjoyed this event. It was very well planned, and the rain couldn’t put a damper on the event! We look forward to participating again next year.
This event positively impacted the community with a festive atmosphere of fun activities such as games, line dancing, and spotlighting cancer survivors.
To see the balloons fill the sky was a perfect demonstration of change and renewal and serves as an ever-present reminder of the fragility and sacredness of life. This event exemplified Mrs. Harris’s commitment to being a steadfast source of encouragement for cancer survivors and fighters across North Alabama.
It was truly a blessing to fellowship with survivors, family and friends at the National Cancer Survivors Day! Our favorite part was the balloon release to honor relatives, survivors, and those who lost their fight to cancer. Thank you again, for taking time out to celebrate such a memorable event.
It was an amazing event filled with inspiration, motivation and a powerful presence of hope!! The balloon release was like sending my cares and thanks to God! Thank you for coordinating a wonderful event.
It was a beautiful sight to see the balloons released in the sky. I’m looking forward to next year.
It’s an honor to stand with those who fought cancer and survived. To see their triumph and gratefulness as we also remember those who are no longer with us is truly a blessing. Let us be ever thankful for those who survived to tell their story.
I was humbled to be in the presence of survivors. It was a great celebration of life after cancer.
